Similar to the best, matured Cabernet Sauvignons, this renowned Indonesian has a body that floods the mouth! The cup is syrupy, earthy, and bold, with peppercorn-like flavors.  Koperasi Baital Qiradh Baburrayyan (KBQB) is a medium sized coop with members from villages around Lake Tawar. The Typica coffee is processed in a method somewhere between washed and unwashed contributing to the coffees unique character. The coffee has very low acidity and provides a solid foundation for espresso blends or for single origin espresso brewing.  It is also wonderful brewed with a paper filter preparation and topped with a touch of fresh cream.  Although not considered a "dark" roast according to Western standards, this coffee actually performs better than most dark roasts for the intended purposes of dark roasting (ie: strength).  It has no nuances suggestive of being "burnt" and much more sweetness than most dark roasts.
