Mt. Elgon, which borders Kenya, is home to the beautiful Bugisu people who created this Cooperative in 1998.  It now boasts 50% female membership which is an incredible social accomplishment for Uganda.  The producers live and farm in ancient forests teaming with old-growth hard woods, waterfalls, and rich, fertile soils: the perfect ingredients for this 100% Bourbon variety.

Complex and invigorating, this quintet of globally exclusive, socially rewarding, environmentally encompassed coffees supports the rooted meaning of espresso. Created through years of improvisation, trial, error, and sleepless nights, this espresso is textured in layers of roasted nuts, swiss chocolates, super-ripe black berries, African rhythms, Indian smoking herbs, Pacific Island sunsets, and Latin colors.
